Steeping an ancient beverage in a modern world

Remember when we use to comment on someone's cooking
ability by saying "they don't know how to boil water?"
The same can be said about many folk entering the world of
tea for the first time.
I've had the same conversation with audiences countless
times over the past 20 years. It often begins with this
confession by the new tea student, "I don't know how to make loose tea. What do
I need?"
It all boils down to this essential list:
- Fresh tea
- Filtered water
- Water kettle - electric or stove top (and microwaves don't count)
- Infusing device - basket, t-sac, French press
- Teapot or steeping mug
I recently produced a short video for the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum which covers these tea basics. You may be past this neophyte
stage of tea making, but you probably know friends who, like all of us at
one time, are just starting on their tea journey. They need a bit of direction.
Share this video with them and change the world - one cup at a time.

Bruce and Ben, I really enjoyed this great video! Thanks for sharing with your blog readers.
